The cost of our Advanced Driving Course is £68.
£48 for the test fee and £20 that goes to the Group funds.

The South East Essex Group have a catchment area of 20 miles radius of Southend-on-Sea and can cater for members as far west as Grays and as far north as Chelmsford.

The group provides the training drives at no cost to the member, utilising the free time of the Tutors. In return, we ask that you submit yourself for test at the appropriate time.

Associate Members are members of the South East Essex Group who wish to improve their driving to the standard required to pass the Advanced Driving Test. In addition to joining the RoSPA group, we recommend that you enrol on the Better Driving Course run by the Southend Advanced Drivers' Association for the 'Roadcraft' theory input. The Secretary can provide the contact details for S.A.D.A.

You will be assigned a Tutor. You should contact your Tutor to arrange a convenient time for your first training drive which is an Assessment to see how your driving falls below the required standard (if at all). On the first drive you should bring the following:-

Driving Licence
Certificate of Motor Insurance.
M.O.T Certificate (if applicable)

You may attend all Group functions such as Group Nights, social and outdoor events. If you have any questions, problems or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact any Committee member.

Please note from January 2010 our Group Nights will be held at Rawreth Village Hall.

Bedloes Corner is the junction on the A1245 with Rawreth Lane and Church Road. It is controlled by traffic lights.

From the North: You cannot turn right. See the arrows on the diagram. You turn left just before the lights and then turn right. You can then enter Church Road by going straight on at the lights.

From the south: A1245 turn left at traffic lights. The entrance to the Village Hall from the traffic lights is: 349 yards / 319 metres / 0.2 mile on the right.

For anyone approaching from the Wickford/Shotgate direction the hall can be reached via the A129, turn left into the old London road, passing The Chichester. There is a width restriction when you enter Church road.
